167 SUSHI BAR a part of 167 Hospitality Group based in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The menu is seafood driven with traditional Japanese cuisine and techniques, with a rotating specials board based on fresh fish and seasonal produce. 167 Sushi Bar is seeking a full time sushi chef The sushi station is conducted by 2 team members working on nigiri, sashimi, and maki. The hot kitchen will be in small teams, with team members working grill, fry, and saut--e, plating dishes such as bao buns, yaki, tsukune, and kraage. 167 Sushi Bar receives high quality seafood and the best ingredients. Working with whole fish that is butchered in house, offers the freshest product for the sushi bar. 167 Sushi Bar is open from 12pm for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, located at 289 East Bay Street, Downtown Charleston. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. This position will be a full time hourly position as a sushi roller, expected annual gross earnings $60,000 - $70,000 Job tasks Set up station for service & prepare mis en place Check quality and consistency in food product Work with precision Prepare ticket items as they are "fired" Communicate with team Keep station clean Replenish station items Requirements: 2 years, minimum of sushi experience Full availability and flexible schedule Work 40 - 48 hours a week References & background checks required Able to lift 50+ lbs Shift availability: Day Shift 10am - 4:30pm Night Shift 3:30pm - 11pm Benefits: Weekly direct deposit pay Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance Package Staff Meal No Sundays 50% off dining at all 167 locations Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $27 - $37 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
